We are committed to a "Local-First" philosophy. This means that the data you capture from websites (your "Content") stays on your device or is transferred directly to your connected integrations. We do not sell your data, and we do not store your clipped leads on our servers.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three distinct categories:

A. Extension Data (Local & Passthrough)

User Content: When you use the Extension to extract data from a webpage (e.g., a name, email, or price), this data is processed locally within your browser. If you choose to sync this data to a third-party service (e.g., Google Sheets, HighLevel), the data may pass through our secure API solely for the purpose of formatting and transmission. We do not retain or store this User Content in our databases.

Authentication Tokens: To connect with third-party services, we store encrypted access tokens (OAuth keys) locally in your browser's secure storage (chrome.storage.local).

B. Account & Billing Information

Account Data: If you create an account, we collect your email address and name (via Google Sign-In) to identify you and manage your subscription license.

Payment Data: If you purchase a premium plan, your payment information is processed securely by our third-party payment processor (Lemon Squeeze). We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

C. Website Usage Data

Cookies & Pixels: When you visit our marketing website (klipsync.com), we may use cookies, pixels (e.g., Meta Pixel), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand visitor traffic and marketing effectiveness. This tracking applies only to the Website, not the Extension.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect strictly for the following purposes:

• To Provide the Service: To process the data you capture and transmit it to your selected integrations (e.g., creating a row in Google Sheets or a contact in HighLevel).

• To Manage Your Account: To verify your identity, check your subscription status, and process payments.

• To Communicate: To send you transactional emails (e.g., invoices, password resets) or respond to your support requests.

• To Maintain Security: To detect and prevent fraudulent use or abuse of the Extension.

We strictly DO NOT:

• Sell, rent, or trade your personal data or captured content to third parties.

• Use your captured content for advertising purposes.

• Train AI models on your private data without your explicit consent.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use Disclosure)

KlipSync's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically regarding your Google User Data (e.g., Google Sheets access):

• Limited Use: We access your Google Sheets solely to enable the "Sync to Sheet" feature initiated by you. We do not read or access files other than those you explicitly interact with.

• No Transfer: We do not transfer this data to others unless necessary to provide or improve these features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

• No Ads: We strictly do not use this Google User Data for serving advertisements.

• No Humans: Humans (our employees) strictly do not read your Google User Data unless we have obtained your affirmative agreement for specific messages (e.g., for support), or when necessary for security purposes (e.g., investigating a bug or abuse).

5. Data Security and Retention

Security Measures We take the security of your data seriously. We implement industry-standard security measures, including:

• Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser, our API, and third-party integrations is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL).

• Local Storage: By design, your captured content is stored locally on your device using your browser's secure storage mechanisms. It is not stored in a centralized database managed by us.

• Token Security: Authentication tokens (API keys) are stored securely and are only accessed when you initiate a specific action.

Data Retention

• User Content: Since we do not store your clipped leads on our servers, we do not have a retention period for this data. If you uninstall the Extension, your locally stored data is immediately removed from your browser.

• Account Data: We retain your account and billing information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax records).

6. Sharing with Third-Party Services

KlipSync's core functionality is to act as a bridge. We share your data only with the third-party services you explicitly connect and authorize.

• Integrations: If you connect HighLevel, Google Sheets, Zapier, or other services, we will transmit the data you select to those platforms via their respective APIs.

• Disclaimer: Once data is synced to a third-party platform, it becomes subject to that platform's privacy policy and data retention practices. We are not responsible for how third-party services handle your data after it has been successfully transmitted.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access & Correction: You can view and update your account information by logging into the Extension.

• Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and associated license data by contacting us.

• Uninstall: You can stop all data collection immediately by uninstalling the Extension from your browser.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Extension or via email. The "Effective Date" at the top of this policy indicates when the latest changes were made.
